Last Saturday night in Baton Rouge, LSU won its biggest game of the season as the Tigers beat Alabama at home for the first time since 2010.

Brian Kelly got his first win over Nick Saban, and LSU proved it is a force to be reckoned with in the college football playoff picture as the season winds down.

With three regular-season games left, LSU has a chance to secure the top spot in the SEC West with a win over Arkansas on Saturday and an Alabama win over Ole Miss. After Arkansas, LSU will play UAB and Texas A&M to close out the regular season.

So, how is LSU handling the recent success of beating Alabama? Kelly responded to that during the SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday.

“Certainly, with the success that we’ve had we’ve entered into a new part of how we think,” Kelly said on Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference. “Our team needs to now handle success and that means preparing the right way, avoiding distractions and working on what they’ve been good at and that’s day-to-day.

The Tigers will hope to keep taking things one day at a time as the season goes on.
