Former Comptroller of the Currency Joseph Otting is joining cryptocurrency firm Blockchain.com’s board of directors, the company announced.

Otting led the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency during the Trump administration and built on existing innovation efforts, including the development of a special national charter for financial technology firms, or fintechs, that don’t collect deposits. He also led efforts to establish a method for companies to get regulators’ input about developing products before their release.
